Tucked away amidst the rows of dusty brown mountains of the Himalayan ranges, is the hidden hamlet of Nako, located near the Indo-China border in the Trans-Himalayan region of Kinnaur district in Himachal Pradesh.
It is at an elevation of 3,625 metres (11,893 ft) . One of the highest elevation point for apples.
Farmers need to work extra hard here, because of lack of infrastructure. No access to proper roads. Mules bring the apples from the orchard till road. From Nako, it will take 2-3 days to reach Delhi border in truck. But the result is worth it - the high elevation produces some of the best tasting apples in India.
Apples are a good source of antioxidants, fiber, water, and several nutrients. The many healthy components of apples may contribute to fullness and reduced calorie intake. Including this fruit in a healthy and well-balanced diet may indeed be useful for weight loss.
One should eat an apple in the morning hours. This is because apples are rich in dietary fiber, pectin, which is found in its peel. Since most people have digestive issues due to improper sleep or late eating habits, apples right in the morning, after waking up is a good idea.

We are creating a supply chain for organic apples - traceable and direct from the farmers. We are a group of people who want to bring in simplicity to what we eat. We decided to revisit the good old times where focus was on mechanical conversion. In simple words, nothing added, nothing removed. This comes from our belief that mother nature has provided its bounties in abundance and it should not be tampered. Classic elements like Earth, Water and Air provide sustenance to all living beings.
We focus on desi ingenious/ traditional varieties as they have superior taste and nutrition. Lot of sourcing happens from tribal and remote upcountry areas as the natural resources are unexploited.
We have developed tie ups with farmer groups/ FPOs and other organizations who share similar philosophy. Our farmer / supply partners are based in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, North East, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, Tribal Andhra, Karnataka and Kerala
